MOSO® Bamboo X-treme® solid bamboo cladding is made from compressed, thermally treated bamboo strips. The extreme stability of the material ensures a very durable bamboo façade, with the natural appearance of hardwood. The outdoor bamboo boards or beams are very robust and durable. The unique heat treatment process provides the bamboo beams the highest durability class possible in the appropriate EU norms and increases the hardness and stability to levels higher than tropical hardwoods. The hardness also brings the benefit of fire safety: without fire retardant the material can reach the European B-Class.
The closed profile now ensures Class B-s1-d0 (EN 13501-1) for the full system. Previously introduced boards that are installed with gaps in between come with a material fire Class B-s1-d0 (EN 13501-1). The combination of different width and profiles allows designers to create bamboo façades in a more creative way.
